Learning new things keeps the myelin stronge and is a good defense against Alzheimers.

Re: Slow the Aging process by 51%

Good information Pam. It is unfortunate the CO Q10 remains underused by doctors. In fact, I have read that the prescribed heart medications also help to deplete the body of CO Q10.

Re: New Science Sheds Light on the Cause of Alzheimer’s Disease,

Yes Kate, this is exciting news.Alzheimer's Disease is one of the age related diseases that Baby Boomers fear.
It just confirms my belief that there
is a lot of research on aging going on and there is a huge push by Baby Boomers to get results.
Re: New Science Sheds Light on the Cause of Alzheimer’s Disease,

Lets's hope that this new information will be the answer. Not only is it a disease that plays havoc with the individual, but the entire family is affected. I watched my grandmother and my mother slip away slowly from us mentally and it was excruciating. Thanks for giving us hope!!

Re: Dr. Sears thoughts on HRT for Women

Pam, thanks for posting Dr. Sears' letter. I was already taking vitamins C & E and calcium with vitamin D. I added it to the list of vitamins I was taking. I have high chlorestoral and I also take cholestanol (which is your B & E vitamins) and it does work. In a doctor column in the paper I read about taking Lysine which is good for keeping your arteries unplugged so I have added it to what I'm already taking. I find multi vitamins with the iron in them bother me. This cocktail has kept me healthy for a number of years now and I rarely get a cold.

Re: Anti-Aging and Vitamin D

Enjoyed your article. Great advice. So many problems by being deficient in Vitamin D. Too bad our lifestyles take us so far away from all the natural sources provided for life on Earth. We weren't meant to spend so much times indoors.

Re: Anti-Aging and Vitamin D

I love all of the good press that sunshine and Vitamin D are getting lately. I've always loved the sun and Vitamin D rich foods but never knew just how good it all was for me. Oh yes, I am of the age where I remember the baby oil and iodine. Boy we have come so far from those days!

Re: Steps to Make 2010 a Great Year!

Enjoyed your Christmas post Pam.
